How We Met
A Swipe That Changed Everything
In December 2020, in the middle of a world turned upside down, two people found each other on a dating app — and quickly discovered they weren't strangers at all. Katie and Billy had a whole web of mutual friends and a surprising number of shared interests they'd somehow never crossed paths on before.
What started as a match became a conversation, then a connection, then something neither of them could quite explain — only that it felt like finding someone they'd been looking for without knowing it.
Building a Family
Five Kids, One Home
Between them, Katie and Billy have five wonderful children who have criss-crossed the country over the past few years. The dream was always to bring everyone together under one roof — and on Labor Day weekend 2025, they finally did it.
Some of the kids have their own apartments now, but home base is Katie and Billy's — the place everyone comes back to, the center of the chaos and the laughter and the love. That's the family they built.
The Proposal
He Asked at the Party
December 2025. Katie and Billy had just moved everyone in together and were celebrating with a housewarming party surrounded by the people they love most.
In the middle of it all, Billy surprised Katie with a proposal. In front of their family and friends, in the home they'd just made together, he asked her to make it official. She said yes.

To Our Guests
We didn't take the traditional path to get here — and we wouldn't change a single step of it. Every detour, every mile of distance, every chaotic family dinner brought us exactly to this moment.
On New Year's Eve, we will celebrate not just our marriage, but the family and the life we've already built together. Most importantly, we are able to do it with the people who matter most to us.
